I'm a new member and an owner of a used Octavia Station Wagon (81 kW TDI, model year '99) since November this year.

Can anyone please help: I can't locate the trunk light switch in my car. Where is it exactly? The only available book (So wird's gemacht) doesn't give any hints.

There IS a hint: If you find the right digram with the lamp on it, no. 8. in the back of the book, there is a connektor placede in the "heckklappe". That´s my suggestion, but I don't know if it's right .

the switch is inside the lock-mechanism of the trunk-door

even the door-switches are located inside the locks.

Thanks both to JR for the hint - that connector was ok - and to Gremlin who got it right.

I saw the answers only Monday, after taking a good look during the weekend and finding the switch myself. The culprit was the connector in the door that was left disconnected by somenone. All it took was snap to get it back to its normal operation.
